webapps dir - directory where web applications stays
/usr/share/tomcat5/webapps

[By default, Tomcat uses port 8080.
However, the port conflict with another application, you may need to change that port at server.xml which is located at /conf of tomcat dir]

Speedup Konqueror Web Browsing

Konqueror lacks of an internal dns cache, that means for every http
request (each image on a web page) it sends a dns query.
Depending on your internet connection and speed of your dns servers,
this can slow things down.

Install dnsmasq or pdnsd

Install dnsmasq
#yum install dnsmasq

KSnapshot - KDE screen shot taker

KSnapshot is a KDE screenshot taker which comes with KDE standard distributions. KSnapshot have been pretty useful for me for ages. Its a fast, stable and flexible snapshot (screen shot) taker for linux. As usual KSnapshot can be launched from Kicker (Alt+F1) >> Graphics >>KSnapshot or just from application launcher (Alt+F2) then type ksnapshot then hit enter. KSnapshot interface is a pretty easy interface to work with -

Ksnapshot capture modes -
1. Full screen
2. Region
3. Window under cursor
4. Section of window

Captured image supported formats - JPEG, PNG, BMP, X-Bitmap, Portable Bitmap, Postscript image, SGI etc.

Knapshot helped in different ways - for example when I wanted to take a screen shot of a software that I need to review, a document portion that I only need to capture, an image portion that is needed to take only etc. Undoubtedly, Its a pretty handy tool to me.
