Dev-C++ is a fantastic open source c/c++ IDE for windows.

CodeBlocks that works fantastic in both Linux and windows.

Among these two, I would prefer codeblocks.

of course these are the great tools. But still I prefer Geany, because it is more lightweight than the others.
